As the Team Manager - ER you will be a part of the HR function and will report to the Section Head - ER.
The purpose of your role as the Team Manager - ER is to maintain harmonious employee relations on the shop floor by effectively managing proactive industrial relations (IR), handling employee grievances, ensuring harmonious & congenial environment, and supporting a positive work environment that enables smooth plant operations and workforce engagement. He/she will also support in employee engagement, understand the undercurrent & group dynamic.

A purpose driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Grievance Management - 20%
- Timely closure of employee grievances
- Maintain documentation related to warnings, suspensions, and terminations.

2. Industrial Relations - 20%
- Smooth union coordination & minimal disputes
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of ER/IR frameworks.

3. Compliance - 15%
- Adherence to labor laws & statutory requirements

4. Employee Engagement - 15%
- Execution of shop floor engagement initiatives

5. Proactive issue mitigation - 15%
- Timely and fair handling of disciplinary actions
- Prepare IR reports, disciplinary case summaries and compliance reports

6. Communication - 20%
- Effective shop floor communication & feedback

A Day in the life

As the Team Manager - ER you will be responsible to maintain a harmonious shop-floor environment through proactive industrial relations, efficient grievance management, and initiatives that foster a positive, engaging workplace. This role ensures seamless plant operations by driving workforce alignment, understanding team dynamics, and actively monitoring workplace undercurrents to mitigate risks and sustain morale.

Academic Qualification & Experience

- Preferably MSW OR MBA
- 5-7 years

Technical Skills/Knowledge

- Understanding of Industrial Relations practices
- Experience in grievance handling and disciplinary procedures
- Familiarity with shop floor HR practices

Behavioural Skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution and negotiation ability
- Problem-solving mindset
- Ability to build trust with employees
- Understanding of group dynamics and undercurrent
