Technical Support - Component testing
A purpose driven role for you
The incumbent will work within a group of engineers to support development of 2 Wheeler testing in Lab.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing detailed Vibration & structural testing of two wheeler components on ED shaker.
A Day in the life
Responsible for performing component and vehicle-level vibration and shock testing (sine, random, and road load simulation) using electrodynamic shakers and environmental chambers.
Responsible for maintaining the lab documents- test reports, test data records as per NABL requirement & performing equipment calibration , data post-processing, and results interpretation.
Optimize the lab internal SOP & STP based on current requirement.
Collaborate with design, testing, and CAE teams to align simulations with real-world results.
Prepare technical reports, presentations for internal stakeholders.
Support lab management activities, including NABL/ISO 17025 documentation and safety audits
Academic Qualification & Experience
Diploma (Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field from renowned institute.)
3–5+ years of experience in automotive component/vehicle testing, specifically in a vibration or durability lab environment
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Conduct component and vehicle-level vibration and shock testing (sine, random, and road load simulation) using electrodynamic shakers and environmental chambers.
Ensure all tests comply with internal STPs (Standard Testing Procedures) and regulatory/NABL accreditation standards
Proficiency in setting up and operating Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems (e.g., LMS, HBM) and handling sensors such as accelerometers, load cells, and strain gauges.
Proficiency in analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or nCode Glyphworks) for processing raw time-history data, calculating PSD, and performing fatigue analysis.
Knowledge of automotive testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, JIS 1601, AIS 156 or equivalent internal vehicle standards).
