TECHNICAL SUPPORT

A purpose driven role for you

Conducting hands-on testing activities, both in laboratory and field environments, to validate ICE & EV vehicle performance, functionality and durability under various operating conditions.
Prepare the vehicles for tests ensuring functionality of all parts and systems as per specifications.
Periodic measurements of different vehicle parts to monitor and estimate the service life.
Investigating and troubleshooting issues encountered during testing, propose the solutions.
Periodic inspection and drivability evaluation of the test vehicles.
Instrumentation of test vehicles to record data from vehicle CAN and other sensors.
Usage of data analysis software and preparing results to identify trends, anomalies, and performance metrics.
Maintain the database systematically for test data, results, reports, etc.
Participate in the vehicle service and repair activities at shop floor.
Preparation of new fixtures for tests to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reliability of testing activities.

A Day in the life

The ideal candidate will be involved in timely vehicle preparation and execution of test activities at vehicle and system level, ensuring the Durability, Reliability, Performance and Safety of our ICE & EV Projects throughout their development lifecycle.

Academic Qualification & Experience

Diploma (with relevant experience) in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering
 

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Durability monitoring and service life evaluation
Perform vehicle level tests like Acceleration, Brake test, Max speed, Gradability, thermal trials, environmental special tests and other static trials.
Ride and handling, Subjective driveability evaluation
Conduct vehicle performance tests on Chassis dyno
Vehicle inspection for the failures or abnormalities
Vehicle Preparation for durability and other tests
Instrumentation (Data loggers and sensors fitment on vehicle)
Periodic inspection and measurement.
Service life data compilation
Data Logging
Compilation of Testing Data
Maintain database of test data, reports, measurements, etc,
Prepare test fixtures
Provide inputs for SOP / Vehicle Test Methods

Behavioural Skills

Proven Hands-on experience in two wheeler testing with knowledge of EV, Internal combustion engine, powertrain system, brakes, electrical systems and other vehicle safety systems.
Good knowledge of different vehicle attributes, validation methods and industry trends.
Hands on experience in monitoring projects for durability testing and service life evaluation
Hands on experience in using different measurement tools and service equipments.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Better to have proficiency in vehicle data logging and experienced in relevant software tools for test data analysis (Vbox, CANalyzer, DiaLog, etc)
Knowledge of vehicle test standards and should be able to understand the guidelines in test standards.
Effective communication skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
