Senior Engineer-Heat Treatment
 

A purpose driven role for you

A Senior Engineer role is critically needed to spearhead the rapid development of prototype components through advanced DMLS and traditional sand casting foundry processes. This role requires hands-on expertise in operating and monitoring a wide array of thermal processing equipment, including sealed quench, nitriding, and tempering furnaces, to achieve precise material properties. The engineer will also manage vital surface engineering techniques such as shot peening and conduct non-destructive testing like Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure component reliability. Proficiency in comprehensive metallurgical analysis, from microstructure preparation and hardness testing to specialized processes like carburizing and induction hardening, is essential for validating new designs. This position is indispensable for accelerating R&D cycles, ensuring the structural integrity of next-generation components, and maintaining our competitive edge in innovation.

To Monitor and operate
Sealed quench furnace
Nitriding furnace
Solution treatment
Tempering and preheating furnace
Shot blasting and peening machine
Sub Zero treatment furnace
MPI, Metrology (Polishing, Grinding, Hardness testing, etc.)
SCADA
Induction hardening
Specimen preparation of Microstructure analysis.
Knowledge of following HT processes,
Carburizing
Carbo-Nitriding
Annealing
Normalizing
Gas Nitriding
Austempering
Martempering
Shot peening
Metallurgical testing of HT components
Induction hardening
Part delivery tracking & Failure identification and its trouble shooting
Calibration of present work flow and designing of new workflow
Hands on Experience in sand casting
Proficient in CAD, CAE (Catia/Novacast simulation siftware.
Hands on experience in design of sand casting molds and GDC Mold.
Knowledge of pattern design, Mold Assembly and metal flow Analysis.
Trouble shooting of sand-casting Defects.
Hands on experience of operating sand printing machine
Pattern design for aluminium casting
Aluminium casting planning and manufacturing of quality parts
Tooling & Raw material planning and Procurement
Work allocation & documentation
Manufacturing feedback
Validation of the parts

Academic Qualification & Experience

BE/ BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Technical Skills/Knowledge
