LEAD - Regulations
A purpose driven role for you
Represent & Safeguard the company's interests in Automotive Regulation (Electrical) formulation.
Lead the in depth technical and business analysis of new technologies in lighting, EV & connectivity for 2W.
Lead & manage administrative & technical activities related to Central & State Government EV policies (FAME/PLI/State EV Policy etc.)
Proactively guide the team to formulate technical proposal on EMC-EV, Lighting & battery topics.
Track & Analyse the technical documents of various Global regulation forums.
Co-ordination for CFT teams within R&D for Design and development and Plant for various process involved for aspects related to Electrical aspects.
Information dissemination, Track, communicate & document the legislative, administrative and regulatory proposals and requirements to internal stakeholders.
Guide the technical team and a policy advocacy team to put forth the technical rationale for various proposal initiated to be included in various central and state level policy matters w.r.t EV, Connected technologies.
Knowledge of current regulatory changes, policy issues and future technologies, etc.
Sound knowledge of the various UN ECE / Other Global forum on subjects and should be able to build up communication channels for discussion of regulatory matters.
A Day in the life
Lead in formulation of Domestic & Global Standards – Electrical/EV
Participation in various regulatory panel meetings, Domestic & International forums
(CMVR TSC, AISC & 2W Group Meetings, IMMA forums
Dissemination of worldwide Electrical/EV regulations related information/queries within Organization.
Collaborate with industry associations/trade groups /other concerned stakeholders to build alliances.
Develop strategies for organization representation at various regulatory forums
Enhance organizations visibility and influence.
Develop and implement crisis management strategies for regulatory changes, ensuring proactive response to potential challenges or roadblocks.
Academic Qualification & Experience
B.Tech. (from a reputed engineering collages IIT, NIT or equivalent)
Technical Skills/Knowledge
10-12 Years of experience in Regulation & formulation related to Electrical/EV topics
Behavioural Skills
Technical / Functional Competencies:
Developing and formulating strategies for safeguarding HMCL interests in regulatory formulation.
Technical knowledge of Automotive, especially EV & Electrical domain.
In Depth understanding of CMVR, Indian, UNECE & Global Automotive Regulations
Knowledge of current policy issues and future technologies, etc.
Create compelling arguments on current policy concerns by utilising facts/data/statistics/global examples.
Behavioural Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with good understanding of main technological domains.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work within and with the team.
Critical Thinking and Problem solving
