FuSa requirement engineer

A purpose driven role for you

o Develop the technical safety concepts for the battery management system and vehicle control unit.
Manage the safety analyses on system level.
o Support the FuSa development, in coordination with the FuSa team. Maintain a good communication
with the other stakeholders (system, HW, SW) and external partners.
o Mainly focus on: functional safety engineering on system level

A Day in the life

> Create, update and maintain the technical safety requirements in accordance with ISO 26262: 2018 for the vehicle control unit and battery management system

> Conduct thorough functional safety analyses (FTA and FMEA) to identify potential failure modes and their effects on the systems. Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and implement corrective actions, maintaining traceability between the safety analyses findings and concepts

> Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the safety requirements

> Collaborate with the testing team to verify and validate the systems > Collaborate with the HW and SW for the system-HW and system-SW interfaces

> Support the hazard and risk assessments

> Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to functional safety activities.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar background with 9-12 years of experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Knowledge of the ISO 26262:2018 standard
E/E systems development experience in automotive

High level experience on various domains of the V- Model Certification as Functional Safety Professional or equivalent (TüV Saar, TüV Süd or similar)
Requirements management experience (IBM Doors or similar)
Previous experience in the creation of: Item definition, HARA, Functional Safety Concept
Previous experience in the creation of: Technical Safety
Concept and safety analyses (FMEA, FTA)
Experience in E/E systems verification and testing
Optional: FMEDA experience
