A purpose driven role for you

This role is pivotal in driving R&D efficiency, time-to-market, and portfolio level transparency. By integrating project governance with data analytics, the Multi-Project Manager ensures that leadership decisions are powered by accurate insights, optimized resource utilization, and proactive risk visibility across all programs. The role ensures alignment between the product cycle plan, resource planning, and program governance, while embedding data-driven performance tracking of projects and management-level reporting for decision support. Pivotal role for unifying and communicating portfolio level insight and Product progress and other initiatives for Leadership.

A Day in the life

Portfolio & Cycle Plan Management for R&D. Acting as a prime interface between the Business teams and R&D for all projects portfolio level communication and re-calibrate it as per ever changing needs of the business
• Build, maintain and sustain the integrated cycle plan across all platforms, variants, technology projects and whitespace projects.
• Tracking of milestone and gateways adherence from inception to SOP, aligning with R&D and business targets.
• Draw insights around dependencies of the Projects, Platforms and further evolution of project line up.
• Support long-term roadmap planning and synchronization with business strategy.
• Program Governance, Steering Gate Reviews and ensure reporting to leadership.
• Organize and lead Stage-Gate reviews
• Drive adherence to project governance frameworks, technical readiness levels, documentation standards and reporting.
• Maintain detailed gate decision records, actions, projects readiness, updates, and follow-ups across functions.
• Provide concise summaries and insights for management decision-making.
Resource Planning & Capacity Management for various dependencies of R&D at project portfolio level.
• Maintain a centralized resource utilization dashboard across CIT COC’s
• Headcount forecasting as per Cycle plan and needs for upcoming projects and provide data-backed recommendations for resourcing.
• Collaborate with function heads to address workload imbalances and plan future capacity.
• Track and report utilization trends and resource efficiency metrics.
• Project deliverables tracking, Risks & Escalation Management
• Consolidate key project KPIs in BSC and compile the monthly and yearly status
• Establish and maintain an escalation log of R&D KPI’s with ownership, root causes, and closure tracking.
• Use analytics to identify patterns in delays or risks across projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving with timely data inputs.
• Data Analytics & Management Reporting for various unorganized requests
• Develop real-time dashboards and visual reports (using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools) for leadership reviews.
• Conduct trend analysis on project performance, resource loading, and gate compliance.
• Automate data consolidation from multiple sources (project trackers, test databases, issue logs).
• Prepare executive-level management presentations highlighting progress, risks, and decision asks.
• Drive adoption of data-driven program management culture within R&D.
