Engineer - Engine Test field 

A purpose driven role for you

To support HMCL in being a fast growing company with fast increasing competence levels it requires a strong team capable of designing and analysing new engines as well as constant upgrading and updating of existing engines. To achieve this an experienced Test Rider, capable of organization and people management of members of Field Test Team. This role is in line with the new structure.

A Day in the life

Running of Emission and Performance testing activities on Chassis dyno and ensuring the tasks are completed within timeframe
∙ Daily checks of chassis dyno and performing dyno warm up, coast down activities on dyno system ∙ Daily checks of emission analyzers and performing system warm up, zero span check on each analyzer.
∙ Vehicle mounting on chassis dyno and adjustment of wheel base as per vehicle category
∙ Running Emission cycles i.e. WMTC test cycle on chassis dyno
∙ Performing vehicle performance test i.e. Power, acceleration, Max seep, RLS, Gradient, tests on chassis dynos

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Tech with 2- 3 years of relevant experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Must have knowledge of test standards for Chassis dyno operations i.e.
Desired Technical /
Dyno warm up, Dyno coast down methods, Climatic conditions required
Functional Competencies
to conduct the test, vehicle Wheel Base adjustment, Carb weight of
vehicle, Vehicle inertia class, Climatic chambers etc.
∙ Must have knowledge of instruments like Emission analyzers, Fuel
meters, RPM Sensors, Temperature sensors, Pressure sensors required
to vehicle testing
∙ Expertise and Knowledge of Chassis dyno operation and Emission
system i.e. RAW & CVS, Horiba-1, AMAI-60, CVS-1 etc
∙ Very good knowledge of Vehicle carb weight, vehicle catagory

Should be ready to work in Shifts ∙ Dynamic and proactive work approach
∙ Keen on new ideas and technologies Should work as a team player
