EDD- Engine Calibration

A purpose driven role for you

● The Engineer-calibration Motorcycle is responsible for motorcycle calibration activities as per approved model strategy with focus on implementation of relevant technologies and ensures delivery within CTQ parameters.
● He is also responsible for implementation of technologies and calibration strategies on the relevant projects. He also ensures correct data generation and prepares test results and accordingly decides next calibration steps with collaboration with the skill team lead.
● This role holder also understands the working principles of calibration and should have hands-on experience of calibration of 2wh application. He should work in a team and share information and results transparently

A Day in the life

● Execution of basic system integration checks to final drivable calibration release for Motorcycle
● Understanding of steady state testbed maps and merging it for start of vehicle calibration.
● Execute all motorcycle related calibration tasks at highest quality and expertise.
● Creation of DOE and execute performance motorcycle calibration and optimization (performance, acceleration, ride mode emissions, fuel
consumption).
● Execution of EOBD, Drivability, evaporative and Functions calibration

● Perform the requested trials on test cell, vehicle Dyno.
● Ability to discover problems and Problem-solving ability.
● Timely report release and strong documentation for all trials

● Optimize engine design parameters based on measurement files.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B-Tech graduate or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics engineering

Relevant Experience

● 5 – 8 Years of professional experience
● R&D 2W preferable

Technical Skills/Knowledge

● Execution of basic system integration checks to final drivable calibration release for Motorcycle
● Understanding of steady state testbed maps and merging it for start of vehicle calibration.
● Creation of DOE and execute performance motorcycle calibration and optimization (performance, acceleration, ride mode emissions, fuel consumption).
● Execution of EOBD, Drivability, evaporative and Functions calibration
● Able to make test plans & execution
● Test data analysis & prepare technical reports.
● Make a new test procedure for testing.
● Understanding of requirements for engine approval on vehicles.
● Can plan the pre-requisites of testing.
● Experience in post-processing tools/reporting.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
