Charging SW testing and development
A purpose driven role for you
The incumbent is responsible for the development and maintenance of firmware for charging
Components (Portable charger, Fast charger , On board Chargers etc) . The ideal candidate will have a strong
understanding of embedded systems, Embedded C programming, Microcontrollers , Peripherals (GPIO, ADC
, DAC, I2C , SPI , RS232 , RS485 , CAN, LIN etc.) , debugging and troubleshooting firmware. The Charging Firmware Engineer will work closely with hardware engineers, suppliers to design, test and validate the charging systems. He will also be responsible for writing documentation for firmware and staying up-to-date on the latest charging technologies (LEV Protocols etc).
A Day in the life
1) Define, design and develop Firmware for Charging components
2) Integration of charging Components with vehicle
3) Testing and validation of charging components
4) Simulation of Charging functions to reduce the development time
5) Work on new function advancement related to charging
Academic Qualification & Experience
B.Tech in Electronics or electrical engineering,or a related field
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Firmware design and Development, Embedded C , C++
,Microcontrollers (ST, TI , Microchip , NXP ,Renasas etc)
, Communication peripherals (RS232 , RS485, CAN,WiFi, BLE
and GSM/GPRS ), Integration , Testing and validation,Simulation in Matlab
, Good Knowledge of different MCUs (ST, Microchip , NXP ,
TI , Renesas etc), Good Knowledge of MCU Peripherals (GPIO, ADC ,DAC,I2C , SPI , RS232 , RS 485, CAN , LAN , GSM/GPRS etc), Awareness of WiFi , BLE technologies for IOT, Good knowledge of MS word , excel , Powerpoint,Awareness of project Management Tools (Jira,
Confluence, etc), Version Control Tools (SVN , Github etc), Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink,Awareness of EV system and Technology
,Good knowledge of Li-ion cell/battery charging
