A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1.Strategic Sourcing: Sourcing and procuring machine spares, admin, and regular consumables to meet organizational needs.
2.Cost Excellence: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to suggest material alternates, targeting a 10% annual procurement value saving.
3.Operational Integrity: Ensuring the successful fulfillment of indirect plant requirements through mandatory SAP expertise and vendor management.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1.Procurement Execution: Sourcing maintenance spares and consumables from existing or new vendors within defined Turnaround Times (TAT).
2.Inventory Tracking: Monitoring regular consumable items and scheduling them based on established reorder levels.
3.Order Management: Ensuring On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery of ordered items within lead times through strong MIS preparation.
4.SAP Documentation: Raising purchase orders in SAP based on approved comparative statements and complete documentation.
5.Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting pending gate entry cases and managing rejection cases with suppliers.
6.Internal Collaboration: Partnering with plant user teams to facilitate the deployment and integration of new products.
7.Performance Reporting: Preparing monthly reports on pending indents and deliveries at the plant level.
Academic Qualification & Experience
1.Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2.Experience: Minimum of 4 years in maintenance spares procurement, inventory management, and supplier management.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
1.Machine Spares Expertise: Strong knowledge of machine spares and manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and assembly.
2.SAP Proficiency: Mandatory expertise in SAP for purchase order creation and documentation.
3.Inventory Management: Proven ability to manage reorder levels and track consumable aging.
4.Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
5.Market Research: Deep understanding of the maintenance spares market and upcoming technical innovations.

1.Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills to assess vendor proposals and evaluate technical options.
2.Communication: Excellent interaction skills for managing internal teams and external suppliers.
