Role

As Team Manager - QA Weld Shop, you will be the part of functional quality. You will be responsible to meet KPI targets of the weld shop quality, adherence of quality systems.

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Process Improvement by analysing the issues to enhance Quality/Productivity/Safety/Rejection Cost.
• Quality Target Achievement (St. pass, CTQ Rework monitoring, Rejection Monitoring/Control)
• Hands on Experience on Line Data management (St. Pass, CTQ Rework monitoring, Rejection Monitoring/Control).
• Destructive Testing and Product Testing Plan vs Actual in Weld Shop
• Direct and indirect consumables consumption optimization if Process/Product parameters optimized
• Defect analysis and countermeasures for Sheet metal Welding defects (MIG, Resistance Seam, Spot, Projection Welding process) & finishing process

A Day in the life

• Planning and management of 10-15 workmen and 2 supervisors in weld shop & Weld Dol (Incoming parts) on shift Basis
• Administrative control of team, Manpower Management, Manpower Training, Skill Upgradation.
• Excess parts moderation & inventory control and monitoring. Production & Quality Target Achievement & Loss Recovery.
• Safety Production & Quality cost (KPI) Target Achievement
• Emergency and loss recovery planning capability in weld Shop by align with Production.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 Years of relevant work experience.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• In-depth Knowledge of Resistance Spot, Projection, Seam welding process/parameter control.
• In-depth Knowledge of MIG Welding process – Robotic/Manual and Brazing – Robotic/Manual Process.
• In-depth Knowledge & Hands on Experience on of Robot teaching/programming of Panasonic and Kawasaki robots.
• Basic Knowledge in CMM process & report verification.
• Preventive checks and health monitoring of material handling equipment.
• ECN parts monitoring, Stock correction after ECN implementation
• Knowledge of body accuracy analysis and body fit and finish of Welded component
