Team Member- Release Management
A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Engineering Change Support: Manage MPDCR (Mass Production Design Change Request) processes and support new color/variant development through the MP ECN route.
2. BOM Integrity: Support EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) management to ensure accurate part data and resolve discrepancies.
3. Product Lifecycle Efficiency: Drive parts standardization and commonization across all production and development models to enhance supply chain efficiency.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1. DCR Management: Checking MPDCR content and following up with S&D, Projects, and CIT for timely release.
2. EBOM Verification: Resolving discrepancies related to drawings, duplicate parts, obsolete checks, and color charts.
3. PLM Support: Providing technical support to the operations team for PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) queries and maintaining project stages based on model life cycles.
4. Parts Commonization: Coordinating with CIT and GPC for MPECN releases and parts supersedance to standardize components.
5. Data Compilation: Compiling and reviewing monthly SKU data for both domestic and export models.
6. Network Interaction: Collaborating with the IT/MDC team on workflows and discussing change implementations with SQA and PPC.
7. Problem Tracking: Monitoring monthly MIS for MPDCR releases and tracking project-specific problem sheets.
Academic Qualification & Experience
1. Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
1. Product Lifecycle Management: In-depth knowledge of PLM workflows, queries, and lifecycle stages.
2. EBOM Expertise: Proficiency in checking and verifying complex Engineering Bills of Materials.
3. Change Management Tools: Expertise in using change request tools and managing MPECN implementations.
4. NPD Knowledge: Solid understanding of the New Product Development process and automotive components.
5. Data Analysis: Ability to compile and review complex SKU and technical data for MIS reporting.
Behavioural Skills
1. Time Management: Ability to meet strict deadlines for ECN implementation and reporting.
2. Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for cross-functional collaboration.
3. Analytical Thinking: Capacity to identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings and specifications.
4. Coordination: Skilled in managing interactions between IT, SQA, S&D, and CIT teams.
5. Adaptability: Capability to handle intermittent market requirements and short model life cycles.
