Senior Development Engineer - PPA
A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1.New Product Development (NPD): Drive new product development, part approvals, and concept finalization with relevant stakeholders.
2.Manufacturing Feasibility: Confirm part manufacturing feasibility through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and establish mass production processes at supplier ends.
3.Quality Approval: Manage the approval of parts and processes to meet drawing requirements and resolve technical discrepancies.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1.Feasibility Studies: Conducting drawing studies from the initial prototype stage, benchmarking, and specification finalization.
2.Mass Production Support: Implementing corrective measures for problem analysis and supporting mass production ramp-up.
3.Issue Resolution: Resolving issues related to part development and drawing specifications for new models and multi-sourcing.
4.PPAP Execution: Establishing processes at vendor sites and completing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) handover to SQA.
5.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with teams like VD, CIT, SS, and SQA to close discrepancies and improve vendor "First Time Right" approaches.
6.Verification & Release: Adhering to verification requirements to release the Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR).
7.Team Guidance: Guiding the team through part and process verification to build subordinate technical development.
Academic Qualification & Experience
1.Education: Diploma in Engineering.
2.Experience: 4 to 5 Years.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
1.Core Quality Tools: Proficiency in PPAP, APQP, and QC Tools.
2.Manufacturing Expertise: Deep knowledge of development processes and manufacturing technologies.
3.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Catia, PLM, Simulation software, and MS Office.
4.Defect Analysis: Ability to conduct technical defect analysis and troubleshooting for new models.
5.Project Planning: Strong skills in project planning and development process knowledge.
