Role

To ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and productivity of vehicle assembly operations through effective maintenance management, TPM implementation, automation support, capacity enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives while achieving PQCDSM objectives.

A purpose driven role for you

Maintenance Planning & Equipment Reliability
Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies for vehicle assembly equipment.
Ensure optimum machine availability and line uptime to meet production targets.
Monitor and improve MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and equipment reliability.
Develop maintenance standards, SOPs, check sheets, and equipment history records.

Capacity Planning & Budget Management
Executed end to end Greenfield project activities including new machine I&C, trials. Prepare annual maintenance budgets (CAPEX & OPEX) and ensure effective utilization.
Support capacity planning and execution in line with business growth requirements.
Participate in capital equipment procurement, technical evaluation and commissioning activities.
Drive cost reduction through VAVE and maintenance optimization projects.
Critical Parts, Spare parts and Inventory Management

Automation & Technology Upgradation
Coordinate with Automation, Manufacturing Technology Development and Engineering teams to implement automation projects.
Support conversion of manual processes into automated systems to improve productivity and quality.
Drive implementation of Industry 4.0, predictive maintenance, and digital maintenance initiatives.
TPM & Continuous Improvement

A Day in the life

Lead TPM implementation including Planned Maintenance and support Autonomous Maintenance (JH) activities.
Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects.
Improve Right First Time (RFT), OEE, and productivity through systematic problem solving.
Eliminate chronic equipment losses using RCA, 8D, Why-Why Analysis, and FMEA.

Technical Support & Vendor Development
Provide technical guidance to suppliers and vendors for improving equipment performance.
Coordinate with machine manufacturers for upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting support.
Evaluate new technologies and manufacturing techniques for vehicle assembly operations.

Safety, Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with TPM, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
Implement LOTO, risk assessment, machine safety, and statutory compliance requirements.
Support audit readiness and closure of audit observations.

Academic Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
8–12 Years
