Role

To lead the enterprise-wide data and AI strategy at Hero MotoCorp and drive data-centric decision-making, operational efficiency, and business innovation.
This role is responsible for building a modern data ecosystem, implementing AI/ML solutions at scale, and unlocking insights that power transformation across functions—manufacturing, sales, after-sales, R&D, and customer experience.

A purpose driven role for you

Enterprise Data & AI Strategy
Define and lead the organization’s vision for data, analytics, and AI.
Develop enterprise-wide data governance, architecture, and AI ethics frameworks.
Establish Hero MotoCorp as a data-driven organization.
Data Platform & Infrastructure
Oversee the design and deployment of data lakes, warehouses, and data fabric architectures on cloud (AWS/Azure).
Enable seamless data ingestion, storage, cataloging, and processing pipelines.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data platforms.


Advanced Analytics & AI Use Cases
Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI/ML use cases across business units—predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, customer churn, personalization, etc.
Build and operationalize AI models at scale using MLOps best practices.
Integrate analytics into core systems, apps, and dashboards.


Team & Capability Building
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and AI specialists.
Build internal capabilities and promote a culture of data literacy and experimentation.


Stakeholder Engagement & Business Impact
Partner with business leaders (Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, HR, R&D) to translate strategic goals into data initiatives.
Monitor and communicate ROI from analytics programs and AI solutions.


Data Governance & Compliance
Ensure data quality, privacy, lineage, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, DPDP).
Define enterprise data policies, taxonomies, and standards.

Academic Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
MBA or PhD in Analytics / AI / Business Strategy (preferred)
Certifications in data platforms, cloud, or AI governance are a plus


15–20 years of experience in data analytics, BI, and AI leadership roles
Proven experience in leading large data transformation initiatives in a manufacturing or industrial enterprise
Strong exposure to cloud-native data platforms and AI/ML ops frameworks
Demonstrated ability to link analytics to tangible business outcomes

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, Azure Synapse
Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, DAX
AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLflow
Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Data integration: Apache Kafka, Airflow, Informatica, API architectures
Deep understanding of data governance, MLOps, and responsible AI practices
