Development Engineer- PPA
A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Part & Process Execution: Execute development and approval activities for Chassis parts, including design feasibility and process development.
2. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance visits, facilitate vehicle production trials, and manage testing and validation.
3. Operational Readiness: Manage multi-sourcing activities and resolve development and production issues to ensure smooth launches.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1. Technical Analysis: Analyzing part drawings and specifications to resolve any discrepancies for new part development.
2. Vendor Verification: Developing and verifying parts and processes at vendor sites, including sample and lot inspections.
3. Quality Standards: Managing PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) verification and approval to ensure part availability for PP1, PP2, and Mass Production.
4. Issue Resolution: Implementing corrective measures and closing technical problems observed during vehicle trials.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with teams like R&D, CIT, and Manufacturing to ensure the closure of raised discrepancies.
6. Technical Reporting: Ensuring the timely release of verification reports according to established drawings and standards.
7. Self-Development: Enhancing personal competencies and adhering to self-development plans for smoother functioning.
Academic Qualification & Experience
1. Education: Graduation or Diploma in Engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum 2–4 years for Graduates or 5–7 years for Diploma holders in automotive part development.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
1. Quality Core Tools: Proficiency in PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
2. Product & Process Expertise: In-depth technical knowledge specifically related to Chassis components and manufacturing processes.
3. New Product Development (NPD): Strong understanding of the end-to-end NPD cycle and project planning.
4. Problem Solving: Advanced capabilities in problem analysis and implementing corrective measures.
5. Complex Verification: Expertise in inspecting and verifying complex parts and imported components.

1. Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills to manage discrepancies across diverse functional teams.
2. Effective Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting and inter-departmental interactions.
