Role

Validation of the New Product development activities for Plastic and Rubber parts (Front visor , Front and Rear fender, Side cover, Fuel tank body parts, Inner panel, Box battery, Rubber Compression molding parts like Grommets, O-ring, water guard, Suspension of Canister, OWV, ROV etc and Rubber extrusion molding tube parts like tube and hoses) for Commuter, Scooter, Premium & EV models, including design feasibility study, process assessment and approval , Quality assurance visits, facilitating vehicle production trials, testing and validation, resolving Development issues.

A purpose driven role for you

Feasibility study, Process audits, to confirm part mfg. feasibility & validation PPAP Approval : Part approval & QAV
Process establishment with PQCS , PFMEA, Run@rate, CP-CPK review
New Supplier Evaluation & Process Upgradation
Analysing and interpreting test reports and track issues and defect management in integrated toolchain.

A Day in the life

Regularly collaborate with cross functional teams i.e. Vendor development, Strategic sourcing, Supplier Quality assurance, R&D, Mfg. and SCPs to ensure the closure of issues raised and discrepancies. Conduct inspection and verification of complex parts and imported components.
Internally, coordinating for M1 and M2 Assembly trials, Design/Drawing issues & resolution, DCR/ECNs, Project targets/timelines, DVP
Ok parts Procurement for event trials in PP1 & PP2, QAV L12, L30 & L45 process & point closure if any Sustenance QAVs, Capacity planning at SCPs with Run@rate study PTS Closures, HMCL plants, Process handover, closure of PTS points, Assembly feasibility, Trial events
Market issues study with PTDB and solution and incorporation in New models, PTDB incorporation and resolution in the New models. Externally coordinating with Suppliers- Part and process assessment and validation, QAVs, Infra readiness for new model and 4M approval

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
15 Years of experience in part development in automobile industry for Plastic and Rubber Molding parts
