Role

As a Lead E&E Proprietary Parts you will be reporing to Section Head EV Supplier Evaluation and be a part of the EV Quality team within Quality Function. The Purpose of your role is Drive overall Supplier Evaluation & Development for Electrical & Electronics Proprietary Parts- QAV, continuous Quality Improvement with Mechanical/Electrical component, New Tool trials, PPAP etc. for E-Throttle, TCU, BCM, EHL, DC-DC Convertor, Switches, Lighting, Wiring Harness etc., Manage supplier related actions related to NPD parts and includes study of new designs and CTQ identification and ensure cascading @ supplier. Responsible for technology development and innovation of products, product standardization, VE/VA through design change, introduction of alternate material & Supplier process improvements. Alignment with required stakeholders to avoid potential market or development failures.

A purpose driven role for you

Your Roles and Responsibilities will include but be not limited to the Following-

1) Improve the quality of Supplier parts
- Ensuring quality of the manufacturing processes at suppliers to improve process reliability through Audits, QAVs
- Review supplier design engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality documentation, which may include 8D’s, for compliance to Continental and customer requirements
2) Develop E&E Proprietary parts at supplier end and ensure vehicle integrations activities by
-Ensuring quality of new parts developed at suppliers through Audits, QAVs
-Ensure/Improve performance of new product – Testing and Validation COP
-Ensure Conformity to Production through robust testing mechanisms
3) Supplier Evaluations/QAV L1
-Confirmation of Supplier process / Quality System i.e. PPAP, APQP & QC Tool etc.
-TFC Confirmation / action on all current issues - problem Tracking.
4) Study of new designs and CTQ identification and ensure cascading @ supplier. Ensure DFM/DFA/DFS addressed
5) Drive DFMEA practice - Ensure CFT participation. - CTQ identification and cascading
6) Base Model@G4 / After Market MP /GB issues Resolution
-Gate tracking, Event trials, Dwg. Study -Alignment & senior review (MQ/GB/GPP/PL)

A Day in the life

On a day-to-day basis you will be coordinating and alignment with stakeholders:
1. Alignment with multiple stakeholders across the functions (CIT, Mfg, Quality, overall CFT )
2. Quality (along with cost) while choosing supplier First time right Approach with SS/VD as well as Proto machining route aligned with MP established Processes.
3. DFMEA discussion on New Technological Parts- No Past Failure data / experience including Proprietary parts.
4. Be able to frequently travel locally and internationally. In some cases, with a short notice
5. Country specific statutory, regulatory and customer requirements of quality parameters.

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus but not required
