Buyer- Sourcing & Development (Frame)

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Development & Settlement: Execute development and commercial settlement for the Frame Category to ensure timely sample and part availability.
2. Project Management: Manage Motorcycle and Series projects within defined cost, timeline, and quality targets for smooth launches.
3. Strategic Sourcing: Finalize makers based on sourcing strategy, ensuring appropriate technology and lead times.

A Day in the life

You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1. Budget & Proto Costing: Arranging technical details from R&D for budget costs (NREE, Tooling, line investment) and releasing proto POs.
2. Development Execution: Reviewing part development schedules weekly with R&D and suppliers to resolve technical and customer issues.
3. Commercial Settlement: Negotiating and settling mass production costs within a 2% variance of the budgeted cost.
4. Cost Innovation: Identifying Leap/Lead ideas and driving cost-saving initiatives at the design stage.
5. Technical Tracking: Monitoring feasibility reports and ensuring technical issue resolution between suppliers and internal COCs.
6. BOM & Transition: Creating model Material BOMs, comparing them with E-BOMs, and ensuring smooth model transitions from SS to VD.
7. Market Intelligence: Exploring new technologies and global suppliers while analyzing market trends and government policies.

Academic Qualification & Experience

1. Education: BE / B.Tech.
2. Experience: 5–8 Years.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1. Process Knowhow: Technical, process, and supplier base know-how for the Frame category.
2. Part Development: Comprehensive understanding of the part development process.
3. Costing & Negotiation: Strong commercial skills for budget costing and supplier negotiations.
4. Project Management: Proven ability to manage project timelines and MIS.
5. Market Awareness: Knowledge of upcoming technology trends and government policy impact analysis.

Behavioural Skills

1. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written skills for cross-functional and supplier interaction.
2. Presentation Skills: Ability to present project status and cost compilations to stakeholders.
3. Analytic Skills: Strong capability for RM trend analysis and gap analysis.
4. Interpersonal Skills: Collaborating with R&D, Vendor Development, and Finance teams.
5. Problem Solving: Resolving internal and external customer issues throughout the development lifecycle.
