Role

As the Section Head - Machine Shop you will be part of the Operations and will report to the Plant Production Head. The purpose of your role will be to Oversee & Manage the Machine Shop productions of Aluminium & Steel Phase lines with desired quality

A purpose driven role for you

Your key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Achieve the production plan by meeting the Quality Standards -in order to meet PPC Plan
- Controlling and improving the Cost parameters (Rejection, Consumable, Tool Cost, Tool Breakage) of section to improve profitability
- Create a conducive, harmonious & safe work environment to facilitate smooth operations
- Driving innovation through team development for inculcating Innovative culture
- Promote TPM , DWM & Loss reduction strategies to improve operational Efficiency

A Day in the life

Manage the overall Processes of Machine Shop productions of Aluminium & Steel Phase lines with periodic reviews to achieve targeted PQCDMS parameters by optimum resource utilization in order to meet Customer demand and suffice departmental objectives.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering with 9 to 12 Years of Experience in Manufacturing industry. Preferrably in automotive sector

Technical Skills/Knowledge

- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
- Knowledge related to Engine – Aluminum & Steel Parts
- Tooling, fixtures, CNC Machines
- Fanuc robot drill, Gantry operation
- Grinding & Honing
- Automatic line process( Robotic operations)
- Shop floor management tools viz. TPM, JIT, FMEA, 5S
