Section Head-Global Regulations Technical
A purpose driven role for you
Strategic leader with over 18+ years of experience in automotive regulatory affairs, Domestic and Global certification. Proven track record of managing multi-market teams to secure timely Homologation approvals for Two-Wheeler (2W) platforms across India, Europe, SE Asia, and the America.
A Day in the life
Expert having good understanding of Indian CMVR/AIS/BIS standards, EV battery safety, and emerging cybersecurity regulations
Expert having good understanding of Global standards ex UN/ECE / EEC / GTR etc
Interaction with local and International regulation making bodies including Automobiles manufacturers Association
Hero being a leader and largest producer of 2Ws, to be represented at National and International regulatory making bodies actively.
Academic Qualification & Experience
• Master of Engineering (Preferred) or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Automotive / E&E).
Technical Skills/Knowledge
• Regulatory Strategy: Developing 3–5 years Indian and global regulatory roadmaps, aligned with new model line-up, anticipate legislative changes and mitigate product risks.
• Domestic and Global Homologation: End-to-end homologation activities for ICE and EV products in India as per CMVR and export markets thru (VCA, TÜV, EPA).
• Industry Advocacy: Representing OEM interests in India thru SIAM, and Global thru WP.29 to contribute making of new rules.
• Process Excellence: Digitizing compliance workflows and reducing certification lead times especially of repetitive processes.
• Regulatory Experience: Experience in heading regulatory bodies / Committees / Subcommittees
• India Leadership: Having good understanding of Indian CMVR/AIS/BIS/ARAI & iCAT new Rule making process while ensuring Industry point of View is taken care off.
• Strategic Advocacy: Experience in influencing major regulatory proposals supporting industry point of view through SIAM and global forums,.
• Global regulatory compliances: Experience in Ensuring end-to-end Global regulatory compliances for the exporting countries
• Advanced Tech: Good exposure to advance technology ex OTA, Cyber Security etc
