Role

Lead the conceptualisation and execution of Hero MotoCorp’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy through strategic planning, end-to-end management of all CSR projects, developing robust monitoring and evaluation systems, and building sustainable partnership with both government, institutional and NGOs in line with the Company’s CSR mandate and thematic areas of impact.
2) Lead ongoing programme execution including completion of milestones, adaption, and evolution to achieve desired outcomes, financial management, monitor, evaluate and report on performance.
3) Ensure compliance to CSR policies and regulations by overseeing timely payments and disbursals for all projects to partner organisations
4) Partner with Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications teams to develop visibility and awareness of about Hero MotoCorp’s CSR initiatives among internal and external stakeholders
5) Collaborate with Company Secretarial, Legal and Finance teams for compliance with Section 135 of the Companies Act that details CSR spend and reporting obligations and provide quarterly updates on programmes and prepare necessary reports and presentations as per regulatory requirements to the Board of Hero MotoCorp.
6) Create a strategic and sustainable model of Employee Volunteering in line with Hero MotoCorp’s Company values.
7) Lead a team of CSR professionals by effectively mentoring and monitoring their performances.

Communication: Excellent advocacy and communication skills, both oral and written; proven ability to communicate complex concepts orally; ability to prepare written statements and reports that are clear, concise and meaningful. Ability to maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds, including diverse gender identity. Proven ability to lead and gain assistance of others in a team endeavour.

Vision: Ability to identify key strategic issues, opportunities and risks; clearly communicate links between the Company’s strategy and the work unit’s goals. Establish/identify and communicate broad and compelling organisational direction.

A Day in the life

The role of the Lead CSR will be to lead the conceptualisation and execution of Hero MotoCorp’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy through strategic planning, end-to-end management of all CSR projects.

Academic Qualification & Experience

At least 15 years of experience in leading and managing the implementation of largescale social development programmes with national or international non- profits. Experience in implementing programmes and a deep understanding on Skill Development and Livelihood, Road Safety, Environment, Disability, Gender is important.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

● Experienced in designing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks, with a keen insight into local community realities and experiences
● Experienced in strategic planning of large-scale CSR projects and creating roadmaps for large scale CSR projects and partnerships
● Experienced in managing stakeholders from the Board and Leadership Teams to Government and Institutional partners and NGO and CBO partners
● This position involves travelling to all our project locations
● An education background in Social Sciences and/or MSW is important.
● Proficiency in English and a working knowledge of Hindi and regional languages is mandatory.
