A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Indirect Material Sourcing: Procure materials, special tools, and workshop equipment across corporate offices, regional offices, learning centers, and plants.
2. Commercial Strategy: Drive end-to-end purchasing steps from supplier selection, RFQ management, and quote queries to statutory form compliance.
3. Cost Innovation: Proactively identify and execute LEAP projects for annual procurement cost savings.

A Day in the life

You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
1. PR-to-PO Conversion: Managing the daily review of purchase requisitions and processing timely conversions for A & B class items.
2. Schedule Follow-up: Releasing monthly schedules as per the approved SOB and monitoring daily supplies to secure a 100% delivery ratio for regular consumables.
3. Bids Evaluation: Collecting supplier quotes and compiling detailed comparative statements for stakeholder approval within the SAP portal.
4. Operations Tracking: Coordinating daily delivery timelines against committed dates to ensure raw materials arrive on time.
5. Operational Troubleshooting: Resolving invoice gate entry bottlenecks, GRN delays, and part rejection issues.
6. SOP Governance: Ensuring 100% adherence to departmental standard operating procedures and the defined Delegation of Authority (DOA).
7. Cross-Functional Interfacing: Collaborating with plant engineers to understand project requirements, and working with Finance for payments and road permits.

Academic Qualification & Experience

1. Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
2. Experience: 4–7 years of experience for B.Tech graduates or 6–10 years for Diploma holders in Indirect and MRO procurement.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1.SAP MM System: Strong transactional mastery of SAP MM modules and portal records management.
2.MRO Sourcing Frameworks: Core competence in sourcing strategies for indirect materials, plant tools, and workshop machinery.
3.Commercial Negotiation: Skilled in running RFPs, handling price settlements, and executing SOB rationalization or localization.
4.Office Productivity: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office for managing quote evaluations and comparative tracking.
5.Analytical Reporting: Good capabilities in data analysis and technical presentation creation.

Behavioural Skills

1.Customer Focus: Dedicated approach to clarifying design specifications and understanding end-user needs across business units.
2.Relationship Building: Ability to maintain professional lines of communication with over 100 vendor accounts and cross-functional teams.
3.Process Oriented: Strict commitment to document compliance and record-keeping principles.
4.Result Orientation: Driven to meet fixed delivery deadlines and category-specific saving targets.
5.Silo Navigation: Resilience to drive consensus when stakeholders have different operating requirements or proprietary data constraints.
