Role

As the Section Head - Civil you will be part of the Plant Operations Function and will report to the Plant Engineering Head. The purpose of your role will be to Plan, execute and monitor the civil maintenance activities to upkeep the plant infrastructure and to meet the civil related operational requirement and to Co-ordinate with project team for smooth execution of capex projects by the scheduled time.

A purpose driven role for you

Your key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Plan & Execution of civil maintenance jobs as per operational requirement for smooth operation of the plant
2. To support the Capex projects for timely completion of the jobs by monitoring & controlling the activities, to develop new infrastructure or facilities in respect to meet the expansion requirement.
3.Support the cross function team for implementation of improvement projects & cost saving initiatives, to enhance value creation & achieve operational excellence.
4. Execution of work without any major incidents, ensure safety by ensuring implementation of safety standards at construction sites
5. Implementation of standards and building the team

A Day in the life

Resource management at unit location. Attending Immediate requirement of services or rectification of defects in view to no loss to operational activities. Development of local vendors. Timely completion of civil jobs & reduce responsive time. Implementation of safety standards, mainly change in behavioral safety. Implementation of new practices by bringing new team to our location

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering
Minimum 12 years of work experience in Civil industrial construction & Project Management activities and have experience in individually leading a project of approx. 25Cr.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1. Knowledge in the civil engineering field and on site experience in civil & structural works.
2. Experience in the Maintenance activity of Civil infrastructure & industrial structures
3. Knowledge in computer software’s like MS Office and engineering drawing application
4. Experience in contract management including techno-commercial experience
5. Awareness about IMS, safety standards and quality aspects
6. Team Management
7. Structural drawings in Auto CAD
